Easy Recipe for Japanese Rice with Mushrooms (Kinoko-Gohan)

For this recipe I use 2 tbsps of Japanese rice wine (sake). If you can't get sake, you can substitute it with a dry white wine.Kinoko-gohan (きのこご飯) is one of my autumn favorites. Sports Festival

In Japan, each year when temperatures start to drop in fall, elementary school students begin preparing for the undokai (sports festival).

Undokai (sports festival) is the most important event of the school year. When the day finally arrives the entire town turns up to watch and show their support. Mothers sleep very little as they need to work all night preparing bento (lunch boxes) for their family and all attending relatives.
