Genuine kimono silk fabric effortlessly buffs skin, removing dullness and promoting healthy luster and radiance.
More than just a silk polishing cloth. The silk fabric encloses a high-foaming sponge, treated with powdered shell of scallops.
You will notice the difference after one use, for skin smooth-enough to apply makeup using less or no foundation.
Use for buffing face and body. Also works great to smooth rough skin areas such as elbows, knees and heels.
❤ Also available in Petite size for easier contouring and angling in hard-to-reach areas such as around nose, behind ears and even between toes.
Save money and time by quickly making volumes of luxurious, creamy lather with just a little soap.
Take it to your bath and use it with our washcloth for a refined, 2-step bathing ritual:
Japanese women for centuries have used scraps of silk left over from the sewing of their elegant kimonos to buff and polish their much-admired skin.
Natural silk is one of the strongest yet smoothest fibers known. Silk fiber is primarily made of proteins of long chains of amino acids (sericin and fibroin), which closely match the chemical structure of human skin.
Scallop shell powder has significant antimicrobial properties against bacteria and fungi. It is made from discarded shells of scallops and is also used by the food industry as a natural disinfectant.
The traditional Japanese WAGARA patterns (和柄, Japanese motif) add to the natural beauty of the silk fabric.
Made one by one, each piece is unique. Patterns vary based on availability.
Material: 100% silk, scallop-shell powder treated polyurethane sponge
Size: 12 x 8 x 1.5 cm

Excellent to even the skin texture while removing the old cells layer. After the lathering with Wawaza cotton cloth I buff it over all body only with water, and wow……. the “snake skin effect” is immediate.... the old cells roll off just magically, while the silk fabric stays tender to the skin, in difference of the usual synthetic scrub tools & gloves (I cover this aspect of the extreme tenderness also in my other review on Wawaza Cotton wash cloth)
The skin after the bath done this ways looks very neat, rejuvenated, the pores are completely free.
How true is the fact that “cleansing away the useless” is the basics of any beauty treatment!

Received a small version as a gift with order (domo arigato Wawaza) and I just love it. Lightly buff face and makeup glides on as smooth as silk. I admit I tried the use it like a scrubber and quickly learned that was wrong. Just a light touch, little to no pressure does the trick and don't stay in one position too long. I notice just how smooth my skin looks each time I use this WOW I've tried nothing like it. Love it so much I'm ordering the large one when I refill my rice bran oil and various orders of tea. So glad WAWAZA ships overseas - thank you for sharing such wonderful products.
