Funori, a triple-seaweed Japanese traditional formulation, is an all-natural alternative to chemical-based hair care products. It cleanses and conditions your hair, leaving it smoother, more manageable and healthier. You will see the difference after just one use.
If you enjoy lathering when you wash your hair, you can also mix Funori with your favorite shampoo for a luxurious cleansing experience.
Safe for all hair types and does not affect hair color, including color-treated hair.
One pack is enough for 30 applications for typical shoulder-length hair. You can also apply Funori as a deep treatment, providing about 12 applications per pack.

About Funori
Seaweed is the general term for many species of marine algae. We make our Funori from three important Japanese seaweeds, and nothing else:
- Fukuro-Funori, also known as jelly moss (Gloiopeltis furcata)
- Ma-Kombu, the edible kombu (Saccharina japonica)
- Mekabu, the nutrient-rich roots of Wakame seaweed (Undaria pinnatifida)
The above are notable for their content of calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin K — and importantly iodine and Fucoidan.
Funori is an abundant source of iodine, the deficiency of which plays a significant role in thyroid gland irregularities, resulting in dry hair, thinness, poor hair growth, and hair loss.
Funori is also known to reduce hair loss and promote new growth in some individuals. The Fucoidan polysaccharide in Funori has demonstrated ability to alleviate dryness and promote healthy hair growth cycle.

How to Use
❤ Cleanse and Conditioner the Japanese Traditional Way
Add 1 teaspoon of Funori to 1 cup of hot water in a small container and mix well. A squeeze bottle will work great. Use your own or buy one here.
- Rinse hair with lukewarm water.
- Apply Funori. Massage gently onto scalp with fingertips.
- Cleanse hair with straight strokes. Don’t use circular motions which can tangle your hair.
- Rinse well.

❤ Deep Treatment
Prepare mixture as in above, using a little less than half as much water. This will make the mixture a little more gel-like, so that it will not drip down your neckline.
- Wash hair as normal (without using the mixture).
- Towel dry.
- Apply mixture.
- Cover hair with cap for 15-20 minutes.
- Rinse well.
❤ Mix with Your Favorite Shampoo
If you like foam and lather, or if you have a favorite shampoo you like to use, you can add the benefits of Funori to your shampoo:
- Prepare mixture as in above.
- Add 2 to 3 teaspoon of shampoo and mix well.
- Wash and rinse hair as usual.

Funori Japanese Hair Cleaserand Conditioner

Does absolute wonders for hair!!
I am so so so thankful for this product from Wawaza. I have a very rough hair along with lots and lots of splits ends. I tried so many shampoos and conditioners (including the 100% herbals one found here in Korea) but none of them worked or if they worked, the effect was not long lasting. I have been using this product every day for 2 months and my hair is so glossy and thick now. And the best thing is the effects ( i mean good effects) from using funori are not short lasting, they are permanent. If anybody are dealing with problems like hair fall and rough hair, I think this is the best product to use. It works even better if you use the tsuge wood comb with camellia oil to comb your hair afterwards after cleaning with funori.

Good supplement for your hair
I have the typical Asian straight hair. Unfortunately, my hair is also thin and I experienced constant hairfall since my teenage years. I still have new hair growth so my hair still looks fine albeit thin, but I do fear of balding at the crown. I came across this product in a random YouTube video about hair loss and the positive reviews convinced me to give it a try. Glad I did! After a few months of use, I can say that my hairfall reduced and my hair looks healthier. I can't comment much on hair regrowth since it's hard to see the crown area frequently. I'm still using my normal shampoo and conditioner so maybe I need to transition to funori only hair care for a more dramatic result. Nevertheless, great product! Better than the other hair loss shampoo/conditioner/ hair masks I tried before.

Good stuff that gives good result!..
I add a little of this into my own shampoo everyday. After 2 weeks, my hair really improves in texture and growth. My hair is more lustrous, silky, and I see new growth around my front hairline. This is my 2nd order. Worth every use in my shampoo everyday!! I just add in about 1/4 teaspoon of funori to my own shampoo. Thank you Wawaza :))

I got this as a sample and I'm so glad I did, I don't think I would have tried this otherwise. I add this to my shampoo (I have very curly hair and my shampoo is made for curly hair and has Japanese camellia in it). Adding the seaweed has done wonders. My curls are soft, fuller, shiny, and no frizz. Curly hair tends to be flat on top and I do not have that issue now. I'm forever grateful Wawaza sent me a sample. I can't wait to buy it!
