Funori, a triple-seaweed Japanese traditional formulation, is an all-natural alternative to chemical-based hair care products. It cleanses and conditions your hair, leaving it smoother, more manageable and healthier. You will see the difference after just one use.
If you enjoy lathering when you wash your hair, you can also mix Funori with your favorite shampoo for a luxurious cleansing experience.
Safe for all hair types and does not affect hair color, including color-treated hair.
One pack is enough for 30 applications for typical shoulder-length hair. You can also apply Funori as a deep treatment, providing about 12 applications per pack.

About Funori
Seaweed is the general term for many species of marine algae. We make our Funori from three important Japanese seaweeds, and nothing else:
- Fukuro-Funori, also known as jelly moss (Gloiopeltis furcata)
- Ma-Kombu, the edible kombu (Saccharina japonica)
- Mekabu, the nutrient-rich roots of Wakame seaweed (Undaria pinnatifida)
The above are notable for their content of calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin K — and importantly iodine and Fucoidan.
Funori is an abundant source of iodine, the deficiency of which plays a significant role in thyroid gland irregularities, resulting in dry hair, thinness, poor hair growth, and hair loss.
Funori is also known to reduce hair loss and promote new growth in some individuals. The Fucoidan polysaccharide in Funori has demonstrated ability to alleviate dryness and promote healthy hair growth cycle.

How to Use
❤ Cleanse and Conditioner the Japanese Traditional Way
Add 1 teaspoon of Funori to 1 cup of hot water in a small container and mix well. A squeeze bottle will work great. Use your own or buy one here.
- Rinse hair with lukewarm water.
- Apply Funori. Massage gently onto scalp with fingertips.
- Cleanse hair with straight strokes. Don’t use circular motions which can tangle your hair.
- Rinse well.

❤ Deep Treatment
Prepare mixture as in above, using a little less than half as much water. This will make the mixture a little more gel-like, so that it will not drip down your neckline.
- Wash hair as normal (without using the mixture).
- Towel dry.
- Apply mixture.
- Cover hair with cap for 15-20 minutes.
- Rinse well.
❤ Mix with Your Favorite Shampoo
If you like foam and lather, or if you have a favorite shampoo you like to use, you can add the benefits of Funori to your shampoo:
- Prepare mixture as in above.
- Add 2 to 3 teaspoon of shampoo and mix well.
- Wash and rinse hair as usual.

Makes my curls pop!
I was skeptical when it said it was for all hair types, because many products say this and leave my hair crunchy and dull. After using this, not only were my curls defined without styling products but it was so moist and smelled amazing, like I just finished visiting the beach! I noticed a difference right away and cannot wait to continue using this product and having my curls look even more amazing!

Strange to use, I am used to lather, but I have used it twice and my hair feels really good, so I feel very pleased. Love the lack of plastic packaging too. I am going to order more, and they sent some free samples! I love that wawaza is environmtally sound. I am delighted

All you need for healthy hair
After using Funori for 6 months, my hair has never looked as lustrous in my entire life. There is new growth in an area which had slightly thinned due to wearing it tyed up too tightly and my hair is overall thicker and it's condition just seems to improve with every wash. It also grows out faster. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to have healthy hair.

I have past classic length hair, almost mid thigh which is hennaed/indigoed to cover gray, fine, wavy and on the dry side. Initial use of Funori and nothing else resulted with a greasy scalp but perfectly moist ends. I persevered because In my heart I knew this simple natural product would work. 6 hair washes later, my scalp is adjusted, definitely less hair fall during wash and combing/brushing the next day. I wash my hair every 2 to 3 days. Since my hair is long, I only get 3 uses instead of 5 from each teaspoon plus 200 ml of water, but I will continue using this as long as my budget allows. The dispenser offered is a must, perfect for controlling the amount of shampoo that comes out. Wawaza customer service is beyond excellent. Thank you!

Solution for hair-loss
To put it simply if youre going to buy this product, have patience. Like any product out there that claims to help grow back hair in a place where you have gone bald. You have to be sceptical but this has replaced my shampoo and helped my hair grow back on my forehead where I had a littlle bald spot. I dont know about other people but when I use this it feels so cooling and heals any sorness that I have had. If you have a tendensy to have acne like me. I had to cut out all oil products (plantbased: low fat diet) from my routine. I only use oil on my wood brush to cleanse it. Hope to try out more products from wawaza.

Superb product
This product truly works as described and is superior to any shampoo/conditioner I have used. I use 1/2 teaspoon with a half cup of warm water and use it is a hair cleanser. Sometimes I use it less water and leave it in my hair as a mask for about 30 minutes. My hair is shiny and not coated, limp, or greasy. This product brings out my natural wave, and makes my hair look so much healthier. My hair is frizzy, mostly gray, which I dye with a permanent dye (so it is dry and unmanageable). Funori really impresses me. I also recommend the Camellia Oil, which I use on the ends of my hair (wet or dry) for added moisture and polish. Moreover, Wawaza is an honest company and prepares packages promptly and so beautifully and elegantly. You can feel very confident shopping at this wonderful store.

Very impressed by the time of delivery. I've been cleansing my hair the traditional way. Before this I did water washing. My first time using it my boss asked if I was doing anything different. She said it looked the best she'd seen it. It wasn't styled and I didn't think it looked any different but she said it looked healthier. Yay! :-)

This is something incredible, I have never had such results of any product from the first application. I started to use it basically as a deep treatment mask as my hair needs much care. Very Nourishing
How am I to fault anything of this product and its history?! Because i can't! It's wonderful to apply in the shower and doesn't leave my hair feeling stripped of oil or my scalp dry and left with artificial product and dandruff in it. Definitely rebuying, also very fast shipping with my comb :)

I love this product
My hair is growing and growing evenly. And I don't even use hair conditioner. That is a must when you use shampoo. Plus I only cleanse hair one time a month that's the best part. Funori and the oil is better than Wen. Will always use these two products
