Appreciating the aroma of incense is a classical Japanese art called Kōdō (the Way of Aroma), similar to arts such as tea ceremony (Sadō) and flower arrangement (Ikebana).
The tradition includes a code known as the Ten Virtues of Aroma, popularized during Japan’s 15th-century Muromachi period by Zen master Ikkyū Sōjun.

Bring The Outdoors In
I had not tried incense before this, but discovered thru other Wawaza products, that I love the scent of hinoki. The Japanese concept of "forest bathing" is much appreciated here where I live in Colorado. However, if you do not have access to a nature spot, this may be the next best thing for a mind reset! I enjoy reading the blogs on this site, and quality of life issues and harmony really do seem to be this companies prime objective. Well done!

This is pure. One stick will cleanse a very large space! The holder is perfect for the incense and I have the refill incense as well. Again, Wawaza is so careful with their art of packaging products and making the customer feel SO GOOD! This is a rarity! I'm looking forward to experiencing more from this lovely site when I can! :)

SAFE and SECURE!!
This holder securely and safely holds the beautiful cedar incense! Which I find to be much thicker in diameter than my other incense. I highly recommend this holder as a safety holder. Always make sure your incense is located some where safe when burning. This holder is weighted secure and the hole fits the incense like a glove. The wood is so beautiful. Makes a lovely gift!!
