Japanese Rice Bran Toning Soap

Mild, additive-free soap to help tone, brighten and soften skin as Japanese women have done for centuries.

Rice bran is notable for Tocotrienol, the skin-loving variety of vitamin E, as well as a melanin-toning antioxidant which lightens spots and helps prevent UV damage from sun's rays. Its natural squalene reduces skin's moisture loss. 

We age this soap for a full six months. The result is a mild, solid bar which lasts and does not melt quickly.

About Japanese Rice Bran

Rice bran is a cornerstone of Japanese skincare. It is the only known source of an antioxidant called Gamma-oryzanol which reduces skin's melanin levels, and regulates its sebum production, thus preventing dry skin and irritations.

It is also notable for its high content of Tocotrienol, the so-called "super" vitamin E, as well as an array of vitamins including  B1 (Thiamin) and B3 (Niacin).

The plant squalene in rice bran is a natural lubricant which also forms a protective barrier to slow skin's moisture loss.
