About Pink Porcelain Lily
Pink porcelain lily is native to Okinawa and belongs to the ginger family. It is also known as butterfly ginger and Alpinia zerumbet.
As the pink flowers mature, they become peach-shaped and are especially striking in summer moonlight. In Japan, the plant is lovingly called gettô (月桃, "moon-peach").
Pink porcelain lily contains resveratrol. Extracts from its leaves are used in Okinawan cuisine and traditional medicine, as well as in anti-aging cosmetic formulations.
Pink porcelain lily has also been studied in connection with Okinawan longevity. Its leaves are traditionally used as edible wrapping for rice cakes.

Very lovely soap, mild and gentle enough also for a dry skin. And I like it because even if based on a flower (porcelain Lily) it is not too flowery at all, rather it has a delightful fresh citrusy aroma, perfect for the hot season. I love how the Wawaza soaps are so well balanced and never overwhelming in containing perfumed ingredients.
