How to Use

Coat: Use instead of cornmeal or flour to coat fish, beef, pork, poultry or vegetables.

Thickener: Mix ratio is 3 tablespoons of powder to 2 cups of cold water. Gently heat mixture up to a simmer. Continue to simmer while stirring constantly for about 2 minutes till it thickens and becomes translucent.

Makes healthy beverage. Alternative to starch.

Arrowroot Tea (Kuzu-Yu): Traditionally served as a hot dessert drink or taken for its healing properties. Thick, syrupy and easy to drink texture.

  1. Add about one tablespoon of kudzu root powder and brown sugar or honey (to taste) to a cup of cold water. You can mix in other seasonings such ground ginger or cinnamon if you wish. You can also use soy sauce or even Matcha tea powder.
  2. Mix well with a small whisk or spoon.
  3. Simmer mixture in pan, while still whisking, for about two minutes or until it becomes translucent.
  4. Drink warm.

    This arrowroot powder as Kuzuyu is extremely enjoyable, relaxing, and soothing for the stomach. Definitely recommend this treat.
