How to Use

Black Soybean Tea (Kuromame Cha)

These directions make about two cups (250 ml / 8 oz each) of comforting, antioxidant-rich tea.

  1. Add 1 flat tablespoon of beans to 2 cups (500 ml) of cold water.
  2. Bring to a full, rolling boil.
  3. Reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
  4. Turn off the heat and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  5. Serve warm for a toasty flavor or chill for a refreshing drink.

Enjoy the Beans After Brewing

Nothing goes to waste—the petite black soybeans become tender and richly flavored after brewing. Savor them as a nutty, protein-rich snack, or sprinkle them over rice, salads, or yogurt for extra texture and nutrition.

I drink this tea almost every night. The roasted aroma is wonderful, and the taste is smooth and mild. After brewing, I like to eat the soft beans with a little salt. It feels comforting and good for the body.

This product is excellent, as is Wawaza. Couldn't recommend the site more highly. If you've found Wawaza, you're lucky!

At first I made it too strong, but now I brew a bit shorter and it’s just right. The taste is earthy and smooth. I enjoy eating the beans afterward. No waste and very satisfying.

I received a nicely wrapped parcel with my favourite japanese tea, it is delicious! I was also super happy about the two free tasters and the cute little note with the origami swan.
