How to Use

Black Soybean Tea (Kuromame Cha)

The following instructions are for two 250 ml (8 oz) cups.

  1. Add 1 flat tbsp of beans to 2 cups of cold water.
  2. Heat to a full, rolling boil.
  3. Turn heat down. Simmer for 15 min.
  4. Turn heat off. Wait for 10 min.
  5. Serve hot or cold.

Use as Snack or Sprinkle After Brewing

With petite black soybeans, nothing goes to waste. The beans become soft after you brew your Kuromame Cha. Use them as a flavorful, nutty and healthy snack or sprinkle them on rice, salads or mix with yogurt or anything else you like.

    Versatile - you can infused black soybeans for a delicious tea or cooked them. They can be used in a variety of dishes (add them to salads, soups, stews, or even puree them to make a creamy dip or spread. So Delicious and full of nutrients :-)

    I received a nicely wrapped parcel with my favourite japanese tea, it is delicious! I was also super happy about the two free tasters and the cute little note with the origami swan.

    am loving eating the soy beans with yoghurt and other sweets and i have enjoyed drinking it thru the day at work. very refreshing cold in this summer heat

    I love the earthy smell of this tea and my mother and I share eating the precious beans after we brew the tea. I look forward to buying this tea and the dokudami each Spring now!
