Typical tea served at sushi restaurants, because it is so quick and easy to prepare.

This economical, everyday tea goes well with almost any meal. Also an excellent choice for parties and gatherings. Your friends will think you are a pro.

Made from highly flavorful pan-roasted Kamairi variety tea leaves.

About Kamairi Variety

To make Kamairi, fresh tea leaves are parched at high heat for ten minutes, after which they are rolled and dried in a four-step process. The result is a smooth tea with a sophisticated, rich flavor.

Producing Kamari is labor-intensive and requires skill. Kamairi teas are rare even in Japan as they account for about 2% of all Japanese tea production.

    Konacha is great tea!

Posted by Barbara Lowry on 9th Jun 2023

I ordered green tea at a sushi restaurant near me and was surprised to receive it in a mug. It was very good, with less caffeine than my usual organic Sencha that I love. After they told me I was drinking Konacha tea I tried to find a a good source for it in the U.S. but no luck. I came upon WAWAZA. This tea is absolutely worth ordering direct from Japan. I love this tea. A medium bodied,, flavorful green tea that I drink everyday.

This wonderful tea has been my first experience with loose leaf high quality green tea. I absolutely love it! No bitterness at all and a wonderfully savory tast that is so relaxing to sip.
