This delicious tea is made from nutrient-rich roots of kombu seaweed, Japanese umeboshi plums, and a dash of sea salt to balance the flavor.

With its delicate zesty and tangy flavor, umeboshi has alkalinizing effects on the body. Benefits include relieving fatigue, stimulating digestion, removal of body toxins, and relieving hangovers.

High in iodine, calcium, and iron. Promotes weight loss, lowers cholesterol, and boosts the body's immune system. May also enhance hair health and growth in some individuals.

Easy to Prepare: Add 1/2 teaspoon to one 120 ml cup of fresh, hot water and mix well.

Culinary Uses

Ume Kombucha can enhance and intensify the flavor of various dishes. It has remarkable savory (umami) content with high notes of zesty pickled plums.

Use it as stock (instead of chicken or beef stock,) or as sprinkle seasoning for salads, pasta, and other dishes.

Like a cup of the ocean

Posted by DNA on 25th Feb 2024

I bought this and it sat in my cupboard for a while as I built up some nerve to try it. It's almost like drinking a cup of the ocean, but in a good way. Really interesting and oddly satisfying. I'm all ocean all the time, so there is some built in inherent bias, but the flavor is great. Very kombu forward but just an interesting, savory drink that I'll have regularly.

This is a very unique tea

It reminds me of miso soup. I like it with my meal or after. It also works really well as a seasoning and has a salty flavor. Would work as salt replacement Will buy this again in the future.
